Routes
Shoe hunting and a great day out in Peebles … if you are planning on visiting Young & Co then you may find these directions helpful. If you are travelling from somewhere we haven’t listed on this page then you might find the RAC Route Planner to be of use.
From Edinburgh
- Starting from the City Bypass (A720)
- Turn on to the A701 (Peebles)
- Continue onto the A703
- Turn left onto the A72
- Follow the A72 and arrive at Eastgate
From Glasgow
- Start on the A804, signposted Aberfoyle, Greenock, Glasgow and M8
- Turn on to the A879, staying in the right hand lane then joining the M8
- M8 will then become the A8
- A8 will then become the M8 again
- You will now find yourself on the Edinburgh City bypass (A720)
- Turn on to the A701 (Peebles)
- Continue onto the A703
- Turn left onto the A72
- Follow the A72 and arrive at Eastgate
From Carluke
- Take the A721 Kilncadzow Road heading east
- This runs into the A70: carry on in this direction
- At Carnwarth turn left onto the A721
- Turn left onto the A72
- Stay on the A72 until you arrive at Eastgate
From Berwick upon Tweed
- Starting on the A1167, head north to join the A1 (Edinburgh)
- Turn left onto the A720
- Turn on to the A701 (Peebles)
- Continue onto the A703
- Turn left onto the A72
- Follow the A72 and arrive at Eastgate
From Galashiels
- Start on the A7 (as if heading to Edinburgh)
- Continue onto the A72
- Simply continue until arriving at Eastgate
